Pop heartthrob sombr returned to the Tonight Show last Thursday (6/25) to live debut his new single, “My Body Isn’t Ready,” to the delight of his fans in TV land and elsewhere.
The 20-year-old singer born Shane Michael Boose had a top 10 debut album last year with I Barely Know Her which spawned a pair of singles that made it onto the top 20 (“Back to Friends” and “Undressed”).
Striking while the buzz is hot, sombr has released three new singles this year. In February he dropped “Homewrecker” which peaked at #16 on Billboard’s Hot 100. In April came “Potential” that got its live debut at Coachella and went to #61 on the singles chart.
Then right before his Tonight Show appearance, sombr released “My Body Isn’t Ready” which has already been streamed on Spotify 1.8 million times and whose star-studded music video has been seen over 2 million times despite only being a week old.
