Porno For Pyros, the Perry Farrell side project, kicked off its “Horns Thorns En Halos” tour at the The Observatory Orange County Monday (Feb. 13) with a live debut, covers and hits.
Farrell, the charismatic entrepreneur who gave the world Lollapalooza and helped launch Coachella, has fronted this spin-off since after Jane’s Addiction temporarily broke up in the early ’90s.
The group released two studio albums and a handful of singles. Recently they finished work on few new songs including “Agua” and “Little Me” which they performed Monday.
Alongside original members Peter DiStefano (guitar) and Stephen Perkins (drums), Ferrell reunited with bassist Mike Watt who was in the Pornos lineup from ’95-’99. The legendary Minutemen axe-wielder replaced OG Pyro Martyn LeNoble.
