Dolly Parton Releases 30-song “Rockstar” with Legendary Guests

When Dolly Parton was nominated for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame she took the honor so seriously she politely declined, stating that as a country singer, she appreciated the acknowledgement but she thought others deserved it more.

“I really do not want votes to be split because of me, so I must respectfully bow out,” the always classy Parton said in a statement she tweeted out to her five million Twitter followers. “I do hope that the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame will understand and be willing to consider me again – if I’m ever worthy.”

The Rock Hall inducted her anyways because, well, what’s more rock n roll than saying no thanks to a Hall of Fame?

Dolly ultimately accepted the huge honor and when she appeared at the event she shocked the audience in a form fitting, low cut leather outfit and belting out a new original tune, “Rockin'” where she admits she grew up listening to Elvis, Jerry Lee Lewis, and Carl Perkins and she definitely has “rock n’ roll in my country soul.”
