Sum 41, who announced their retirement in May after 27 years of delivering their brand of pop punk, are currently on their pre-farewell tour.
The Canadian band, led by frontman and singer Deryck Whibley, guitarists Dave Brownsound and Tom Thacker, bassist Cone McCaslin, and drummer Frank Zummo are traveling around North America this summer opening for The Offspring. Simple Plan is also on the bill.
Best known for their first single “Fat Lip,” a bratty tune off their debut All Killer No Filler, borrowed elements of the Beastie Boys and Blink-182.
It worked like a charm and enjoyed 12 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2001.
