Peter Frampton, the guitar god whose double live album Frampton Comes Alive yielded three number one hits in 1976 wasn’t expected to be headlining any shows by this time.
The affable Brit announced his retirement and farewell tour in early 2019 after he was diagnosed with a progressive muscle disorder. Not the best prognosis for a rocker.
The Farewell Tour was eventually canceled by the notorious virus that affected us all. But earlier this year Frampton, 73, who now uses a cane, announced a new summer tour because even though his fingers don’t work as well as they did when he was first cranking out “Baby I Love Your Way” and “Show Me The Way,” they weren’t faring as poorly as experts thought.
So back to the stage he went since there was still some rock n roll left in his Les Paul.
