Beck and the French darlings Phoenix kicked off their co-headlining Odyssey Tour in Seattle on August 1, with a joint duet of the title track of the show.
The Grammy-winning singer songwriter performed 18 songs at the Climate Pledge Arena from 8 of his 14 studio albums.
Throughout his 35 year career Beck has released 52 singles. His most recent is “Odyssey,” a collaboration with Phoenix.
Phoenix’s Thomas Mars joined Beck on stage near the end of his set to perform Odyssey together. Then Beck busted into “Where It’s At,” because those two turntables and microphones ain’t gonna play themselves.
Sadly missing from Beck’s set is his cover of Neil Young’s “Old Man,” which earned him a Grammy nomination (his 23rd) for Best Rock Performance earlier this year. Brandi Carlile took home the victrola in the category for “Broken Horses.”
Phoenix is supporting their album Alpha Zulu which dropped in 2022, their first release since 2017.
