Korn Kick Off Tour with Evanescence with a Freak Duet

Korn Kick Off Tour with Evanescence with a Freak Duet

Kicking off its Korn + Evanescence tour in Denver on August 16th, the Nu Metal veterans turned in a greatest hits collection of sorts at Ball Arena, dealing out no more than two songs from 10 of its 14 albums.

Korn’s most recent offering, Requiem, spent a week at the top of the US Billboard hard rock charts this year and went #1 in Australia and Switzerland. This spring they toured to support it with sets that included four tracks from the nine-song album, but for their summer tour with old pals Amy Lee and Evanescence, they seem to be cutting it back to just two tunes from their latest.

Subscribers of Netflix may have seen Korn in the three-part Woodstock ’99 documentary, “Trainwreck” where the Bakersfield band was co-headliners with Limp Bizkit, Rage Against the Machine, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers, at the notorious festival which was far from the peace and love of the original.

“When you see it with your own eyes, it’s 10 times more shocking,” Korn frontman Jonathan Davis said in the three hour doc.
