Edgehill is a Nashville-based alternative rock band made up of Chris Kelly (lead vocals, guitar), Jake Zimmermann (lead guitar, vocals), and Aidan Cunningham (drums).
Kelly and Zimmermann met while attending Vanderbilt University and began writing together before connecting with Cunningham in Nashville, where the three solidified the lineup in 2021.
Musically, Edgehill pull from 1990s alt rock which caught the ear of Severance Records who in the past signed Dead Poet Society and The Blue Stones. Edgehill’s debut LP Ode to the Greyhouse, drops this Friday, 2/13. Pre-save here.
To get some of that grunge feel, portions of the album were recorded at Pachyderm Studios in Cannon Falls, Minnesota, a studio Nirvana recorded the majority of In Utero at in 1993. It’s also where PJ Harvey recorded Rid of Me with Steve Albini, and Sonic Youth recorded parts of Dirty.
Recently the trio made their way to the Hollywood studios of Setlist where they chatted with Bree Wilde about rock shows they attended as fans that stuck with them. Click the video above for the full chat or keep scrolling for the highlights.
