Last fall when the Arizona darlings, The Format, rocked the coolest graveyard in Hollywood, it was their first time playing Los Angeles in 18 years.
Three months later they returned Thursday (1/29), but this time performed at a more traditional venue: the stage of Jimmy Kimmel Live.
The group was celebrating their new album, Boycott Heaven, which had been released that morning. It had been 16 years between the new wax and their previous masterpiece, Dog Problems.
To make things special, Nate Ruess (lead vocals), Sam Means (guitar, backing vocals), Marko DeSantis (lead guitar), and Jerome Jordan (drums) plugged in, despite being in the midst of their Acoustic Tour.
