Avenged Sevenfold launched the Life Is but a Dream… Latin America Tour 2026 on Tuesday (1/14) in San Juan, opening the rescheduled run at Coliseo de Puerto Rico José Miguel Agrelot.
The show marked the veteran metal band’s return to the region after a forced delay due to a vocal injury. Once back, they reset the tour with an emphasis on newer material rather than nostalgia.
The group’s core — M. Shadows (lead vocals), Synyster Gates (lead guitar), Zacky Vengeance (rhythm guitar, backing vocals), and Johnny Christ (bass) — have rocked together since 1999. The new guy, Brooks Wackerman (drums), joined in 2015.
The tour supports Life Is but a Dream… (2023), which delved into prog vibes, electronic elements, and even some orchestral compositions.
This is their eighth studio album and was produced by Joe Barresi and Avenged Sevenfold and released by Warner Records.
