Too humble to call the tour A League Of Their Own, The Human League will be embarking on their first extended American tour in 15 years, joined by Soft Cell and Alison Moyet for The Generations Tour.
The memorable stars of the British electronic pop that became a signature sound that dominated MTV and Top 40 radio in the 1980s will kick off the tour in June in San Diego and then hop up the freeway to the legendary Hollywood Bowl before jetting off to 19 other cities.
Gen X have been waiting quite a while to sing the affirmative when Philip Oakey, Susan Ann Sulley, and Joanne Catherall ask “Don’t you want me, baby?”
That song came from Human League’s commercial breakthrough, Dare (1981), which soared to #1 on the UK Albums Chart and remained there like a squatter for four years.
