Dominic Fike kicked off the North American leg of his Comedy Tragedy Parody Tour on Saturday (8/15) in Asheville, North Carolina.
The lucky 4,000 attendees at the Asheville Yards (formerly the Rabbit Rabbit) were blessed with an epic 29-song show that included tunes from his breakthrough era as well as his most recent material.
The CTP Tour is rooted in Rocket, the 12-song project Fike dropped last year. More a mixtape than an album, the 26-minute peek into his life touches on fame, love and being a young dad.
As a troubled teen, Fike and producer Hunter “54” Pfeiffer teamed up on songs that became popular on SoundCloud. In spite of (or maybe because of) the house arrest and then jail time Fike was going through record labels got into a multi-million dollar bidding war to sign the literal bad boy.
