The 17th edition of Outside Lands, the sprawling music festival held in the natural paradise of San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park, was another smashing success.
Opening night featured inspired sets by Doechii and then later Doja Cat, but there were dozens of others who gave their all beneath the fog.
In 2008, in the festival’s debut weekend, music fans got to take in groups like Beck, Ben Harper, Broken Social Scene, Café Tacuba, Drive-By Truckers, Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, Jack Johnson, Lupe Fiasco, M. Ward, Manu Chao, Primus, Radiohead, Regina Spektor, Rodrigo y Gabriela, Rogue Wave, Sean Hayes, Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings, Steel Pulse, Steve Winwood, The Black Keys, Widespread Panic, Wilco, and Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers.
This year nearly 100 performers rocked the eight locally named stages: Casa Bacardí, Duboce Triangle, Fake and Gay @ Dolores’, Lands End, Panhandle, Soma, Sutro, and Twin Peaks.
