Beck’s 2025 orchestral tour concluded Wednesday (7/30) at the Pacific Amphitheater at the Orange County Fair. The Grammy-winning innovator brought his diverse catalog into a fairly new territory, reimagined with the help of full symphony orchestras across North America.
The classy mini tour was just nine shows in eight cities, with stops big cities like Montreal, Toronto, Chicago, and San Diego, with some smaller towns mixed in.
Each city featured its local orchestra, with Edwin Outwater conducting the first few shows and Christopher Dragon handling the remainder. The concept followed two sold-out orchestral nights at Royal Albert Hall in April, where Beck first debuted this lush new grown-up format that would be lovely for more artists to jump in on.
As expected, the pulled heavily from the Angeleno’s more sonically rich material, particularly from Sea Change, Morning Phase, and Mutations.
