Proving that size doesn’t always matter, Bonnaroo was cancelled after just one day, due to what amounted to just an inch of rain. Sadly that inch created muddy conditions and was accompanied by lightning that organizers deemed unsafe.
Luke Combs’ set on opening night made him not just the only headliner to get to play, but in doing so he became the first Country artist to headline Bonnaroo.
Combs had quite the night Thursday (6/12) in Manchester, Tennessee. Not only did he get to share the stage with Miranda Lambert as a surprise, but he was presented with a Diamond Award for “She Got The Best Of Me.”
“Honored to have gotten the opportunity to headline Bonnaroo last night and I’ll never forget it. Thank y’all for having us. Hope everyone had as much fun as I did,” he wrote on his IG.
