Alabama Shakes performed their first publicly-announced full concert in eight years on Tuesday (7/15), kicking off their 2025 reunion tour in front of the sold out Fairgrounds at the Salt Shed in Chicago.
Brittany Howard, Zac Cockrell, and Heath Fogg took the stage of the 5,000 capacity outdoor venue in Chicago’s West Town neighborhood after a soulful set from opener Lee Fields.
The dynamic trio rocked a surprise 30-minute mini set late last year for a benefit and hadn’t performed together at a proper concert since way back in 2017.
Tuesday, Howard led the trio through a 22-song journey that drew heavily from their 2015 sophomore effort, Sound & Color.
