Thirty years ago yesterday Quentin Tarantino's breakthrough film Pulp Fiction hit the movie screens. Which means 30 years ago today hoards of people rushed to the record stores to buy the music that helped make the movie so compelling.
What was great about Pulp Fiction, and what remains true for so many of Tarantino's films, is the music is often handpicked from the director based on what he was listening to either while he was writing the screenplay or what he assumed the characters would be vibing.
