BTS made history on September 1, 2020 when their single “Dynamite” hit No. 1 Billboard Hot 100, making them the first all-Korean group to make it to the top of the chart.
“Dynamite,” off Proof was the first song RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook ever released entirely in English.
“This is my tombstone,” RM told Billboard after the numbers had been tabulated, “We’ll take it to this grave!”
The video for the poppy disco jam was uploaded onto YouTube in August 20, 2020. It received 101.1 million views in the first 24 hours.
