Who among us doesn’t love Coachella? Be it in that magical desert oasis or from our couch watching on the live streams, it’s hard to knock the champ.
Coachella is the gold standard that out of humble beginnings quickly created a vibe so strong that for years it was capable of selling out before even naming the lineup.
For years Goldenvoice merely had to set an onsale date and tens of thousands of music fans would buy expensive wristbands for the three-day festival and months later learn who they’d see. That is a testament to next-level marketing and curation.
But what is troubling is for the 23 Coachellas (counting next year too), the festival will have had just 8 female headliners.
