Doja Cat kicked off her Scarlet Tour on Halloween in San Francisco and it was everything and more than you’d expect from a sultry singer on her first ever arena tour.
Sporting a revealing sheer top beneath a black bodysuit and reeling off one song after another with explicit titles and even more suggestive lyrics, the Grammy-winning singer/rapper prowled around the stage to the delight of the capacity crowd who sang along with her every word.
The Scarlet Tour is a palpable, darker departure from Amala Zandile Dlamini’s previous performances, which pairs perfectly with openers Ice Spice or Doechii (depending on the venue).
Look no further than her appearance a year ago at Coachella where Doja’s costumes were brightly colored, her long hair whipping around, alongside a stage filled with dancers and a full band.
