Eagles Kick Off First Leg of Long Goodbye Tour in NYC

Tour or event artwork for Eagles Kick Off First Leg of Long Goodbye Tour in NYC

The Eagles kicked off the first two dates of the first leg of their Long Goodbye Tour with a pair of shows at Madison Square Garden.

As is typical for many Eagles shows, the band started the historic gigs with the beautiful harmonies of “Seven Bridges Road,” a Steve Young cover the band used to sing the song in the backstage shower area acappella to warm up.

Eventually they would perform it on stage to open the show with each member gathering around a lone microphone to show off their beautiful vocals.

Today’s Eagles which are comprised of Don Henley, Joe Walsh, Timothy B. Schmit, Vince Gill and Deacon Frey (son of the late Eagle Glenn Frey) harken back to those days by opening with the song which was their last Top 40 hit of the ’80s.
