Fontaines D.C. kicked off their 2026 tour by delivering a 19-song set at the Baluarte de la Candelaria in Cádiz, Spain on Saturday (8/8).
The Dublin band celebrated their year off of touring by dipping into material from all four of their studio albums and treating the 900 fortunate Spaniards in attendance with two live debuts that have yet to be released.
Grian Chatten (vocals), Carlos O’Connell (guitar), Conor Curley (guitar), Conor Deegan III (bass) and Tom Coll (drums) are still riding the wave of 2024’s Romance, which was released two summers ago and spawned the singles “Starburster,” “Favourite,” “Here’s the Thing,” “In the Modern World” and “Bug.”
Three of those bangers gave Fontaines D.C. their first UK singles-chart entries: “In the Modern World” reached #52, “Starburster” #57 and “Favourite” #69.
