Turnstile made their Saturday Night Live debut on Saturday, (10/3), becoming the first hardcore band to perform on SNL in 45 years.
The popular and diverse Baltimore band wisely used its two musical appearances to bless the long-running late night show with four tunes via two blasts, starting with “T.L.C. (Turnstile Love Connection) / BIRDS” and returning later with “I CARE / DULL.”
Brendan Yates (vocals, percussion, keyboards, synthesizers) along with Pat McCrory (guitar, backing vocals), Meg Mills (guitar, backing vocals), Franz Lyons (bass, percussion, vocals) and Daniel Fang (drums, programming, percussion) did not have to compete with their fans who typically enjoy jumping on the stage only to dive from it back into the crowd.
