Guitar legends Steve Vai and Joe Satriani have been giving the East Coast a taste of what the West Coast was treated to earlier this year as the six-string masters barnstorm together in a co-headlining tour.
As 2024 kicked off, the longtime friends reunited with Eric Johnson in the Pacific time zone for a G3 reunion, harking back nearly 30 years when the trio shared a stage on tour to show off their progressive rock stylings.
Now on the other side of the US, it’s just Satriani and Vai with longer sets, a pair of iconic rock covers, and the first song the pair ever recorded together.
Technically the New Yorkers claim to have written a song together when Vai was just 14 and taking guitar lessons from an 18 year-old Satriani.
