Lizzo completed the first of her two bicoastal Blue Note residencies that began on Friday (2/20) in Hollywood, California.
The 4x Grammy-winning singer + songwriter + flutist + guitarist hadn’t done a full show in nine months when she took to the intimate stage at the new Blue Note Los Angeles on the fabulous Sunset Strip.
She last performed just a few miles to the west at the Outloud Music Festival in West Hollywood where she was the headliner of the 2025 WeHo Pride concert.
It was at that show where she opened up about her struggles with mental health.
“I’m always telling people to reach out when they’re going through something. So this is me reaching out,” she said and paused, “to show you that if a bitch on stage in front of thousands of people can say this, then you can say it too to your friend or your therapist: I’ve been depressed.”
