Morrissey delighted the Dutch last Monday (2/24) at De Doelen’s Grote Zaal in Rotterdam, Netherlands, delivering an 18-song set that that helped get his tour back on the rails after it being interrupted by cancellations earlier in the year.
Opening with “Billy Budd,” the 66-year-old singer kicked off a set blending his impressive solo material with hits and deep cuts from his years fronting The Smiths.
De Doelen, located in the center of Rotterdam near the city’s main train station, is one of the Netherlands’ major concert halls. The Grote Zaal, the venue’s largest auditorium, has a capacity of over 2,000.
After moving from “I Just Want to See the Boy Happy,” into “Suedehead,” the classic 1988 single from Viva Hate, Moz then shifted gears by doling out a two-fer of new material.
