Orville Peck did something Saturday night (9/12) that musicians typically save until after everyone has had a few weeks to learn the songs: he moseyed into San Francisco’s Castro Theatre with his band and performed his forthcoming new album from beginning to end.
Mule, Peck’s fourth studio album, doesn't drop until Friday but the sold-out Castro crowd heard the 13-song record nearly a week early.
Ten deeply personal songs received their live debuts, including “Big Ol’ House,” “Rehab Blues,” and “Ring the Bell.”
