No lie, Shakira kicked off her world tour Tuesday night (2/11) in Rio de Janeiro, with a highly caffeinated performance that had fans buzzing.
The electric atmosphere at the sold out Estádio Nilton Santos delivered the high expectations the Brazilians had for the Colombian superstar who hadn’t performed a proper concert in their country since 2018.
She rewarded them with five live debuts and several tunes she hadn’t played since earlier this century.
Of the live debuts, Shakira wowed the 44k fans with the first performances of “Copa Vacia,” “Monotonia,” “Addicted to You,” “Soltera” and “Ultima.”
