Chicago and Styx kicked off their Windy Cities Tour in Tampa, Florida on Monday night (7/13) with hit after hit.
The two Chicago mainstays have been staples of FM radio for decades and yet have never toured together until now.
Each night one band opens for the other in a true co-headlining scenario. On Monday at the 20,000 capacity iTHINK Financial Amphitheatre, Styx had the honor of going first.
Styx began recording 54 years ago 1972, blending hard rock guitars with synthesizers and ballads. But their roots go back to 1961, when Dennis DeYoung and brothers Chuck and John Panozzo formed the Tradewinds in Chicago 65 years ago.
