The sultry, dark, and yet strangely uplifting Tove Lo kicked off her Dirt Femme Tour Monday night (Feb 6) in Nashville, TN.
The Swedish singer songwriter who might be best known for “How Long,” her song about betrayal that was featured in episode 4, season 2 of “Euphoria” surrounding the Rue, Jules, and Elliott love triangle, performed 20 tunes at the Ryman Auditorium, which nostalgic locals still call The Grand Ole Opry.
The lucky crowd was treated to two live debuts. The first was “Borderline” which Tove co-wrote with Dua Lipa and officially announced the day after the show on her Instagram.
“This is the very first song we wrote together,” she wrote in reference to Dua,”and the very start of our friendship so this feels extra special.”
Then she announced the single would drop Friday, which is fascinating since this is the start of the Dirt Femme tour, an album that came out last year and “Borderline,” being brand new, is not on that collection.
