Georgia Flipo, better known as G Flip, the Australian singer, songwriter, producer, and drummer who has become one of the country’s most prominent new artists in recent years, stepped into the Setlist studio to reveal what’s in their phone.
Born in Melbourne, G Flip, who identifies as nonbinary and uses they/them pronouns, grew up playing drums and started performing at a young age before learning production. They first gained attention with “About You” in 2018, which premiered on Triple J Unearthed and took off internationally.
Jumping onto that momentum, G Flip released the LP About Us the next year where it debuted in the top ten of the ARIA Albums Chart, thanks to is singles “Drink Too Much” and “Killing My Time.”
G Flip has played some big festivals including Splendour in the Grass (2018), SXSW (2018), Lollapalooza (2019), Laneway (2019), All Things Go, Reading (2024), and Leeds (2024); and have opened for artists such as The Beaches, Fletcher, and K.Flay.
