Rage Against the Machine’s Tom Morello called the British rock duo Nova Twins, “the best band people hadn’t heard yet.” Elton John described them as phenomenal and said they rocked his world.
Vocalist and guitarist Amy Love and bassist Georgia South have been friends since childhood who played in different bands before deciding to form one together in 2014 called BRAATS. They quickly changed their name to Nova Twins where they mixed punk, grime, hip-hop, and metal into something totally unique.
Amy and Georgia released their self-titled EP in 2016, followed by the full-length LP Who Are the Girls? in 2020, which drew critical acclaim for its raw power and socially conscious edge. In 2022, Supernova, earned them kudos from critics, while fans latched on to the pair who were described as one of the most exciting new bands in the UK.
Last month Nova Twins released their third album Parasites & Butterflies, produced by Rich Costey, which expanded their sound with singles “Monsters,” “Soprano,” and “N.O.V.A.”
