Weezer visited a place in Los Angeles we never knew existed and rocked out on a handful of songs from The Blue Album to celebrate its 30th anniversary.
Spotify Studios might have had shows before, but as far as our database shows, Weezer broke in the joint when they chatted about and played four songs that are finally old enough to run for Senate.
The whole thing was fun and sounded terrific.
Rivers Cuomo, Pat Wilson, Brian Bell, and Scott Shriner performed “Buddy Holly,” “Undone,” “Say It Ain’t So,” and “Surf Wax America” in a cozy recording-studio looking space and in between songs their archivist Karl Koch asked questions and shared some memories.
