Zach Bryan didn’t just play Michigan Stadium on Saturday (9/27), he got the Big House into the record books by setting the bar for American concert attendance.
The Oklahoma-born songwriter closed out his Quittin’ Time Tour by setting the record for the largest ticketed concert ever held in the United States, drawing a staggering 113,013 fans to the football stadium at the University of Michigan.
The Ann Arbor spectacle capped a run that had already established Bryan as one of the few artists of any genre who could consistently fill stadiums. This final, bonus stop spiked the football on his drawing power.
The number to beat had been set just a year earlier by country legend George Strait, who brought 110,905 to an enormous college football stadium deep in the heart of Texas. The 72 year-old was deemed The King of Kyle Field.
