Blink-182 in April of 1999 were like a rocket with smoke forming around its base rattling the Earth while being watched as it began liftoff.
Why was it happening then? Great new songs and the newest member of the band, the hyperactive drummer Travis Barker.
Formerly of the Aquabats, Barker had been playing with bassist Mark Hoppus and guitarist Tom Delonge for about a year when they went into the studio to record Enema of the State which would drop in June ’99 and in six months go triple platinum.
The first show would be Easter Weekend at a rock/surf festival on a farm near the ocean in Torquay, Victoria, Australia.
