Jungkook, who many consider to be the lead singer of BTS, impressively packed the streets of Times Square as if were NYE last week when he live debuted two new songs from his debut solo album Golden.
The energetic and photogenic boybander’s promotional mini-concert paid big dividends as this weekend it was announced that Golden became the best-selling album by a solo Korean artist in Billboard 200 history.
The lead single of the album, “Standing Next to You,” recently debuted at #1 on the global YouTube charts in both the songs and music video categories. So naturally that was the tune he kicked off his five-song set with.
The singer was flanked with a half dozen male dancers all dressed alike in black, echoing Michael Jackson in both sound and moves.
