Blink-182 opened their Missionary Impossible Tour at Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, Florida (8/28), with a set that blended a handful of unexpected rarities and their typical juvenile jokes.
Ahead of the run, the band introduced the tour with their signature irreverence, writing, “This message will self-destruct… in your pants. The Missionary Impossible tour is coming for you.”
Bassist Mark Hoppus told People in April, “we’re about to start demoing songs this summer. Oh, okay. Cool. Guess I’m writing a new album this summer. Great. Can’t wait.”
On Good Morning America that same week, Hoppus explained, “we want to keep doing what we’ve always done: write new music and tour.” That blueprint carried into the Hollywood, FL, setlist which leaned on the comeback albums ONE MORE TIME… (2023) and its followup bonus.
