Post Malone had a busy Friday the 14th at Bonnaroo.
The New Yorker turned Texan headlined the Friday night slot at the incredibly stacked festival in Tennessee, and not that he needed it, but he got a little help from a friend.
About half way through his set he called up Billy Strings who was in town to perform on Saturday.
Together the two jammed on two tunes and it was a delight.
`When the extended Father’s Day Weekend includes big acts like The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Fred Again, Pretty Lights, Four Tet, Carly Rae Jepsen, Brittany Howard, Megan Thee Stallion, Armand Hammer, Faye Webster, Khruangbin, Yves Tumor, Idles, Ethel Cain, Chappell Roan, Maggie Rogers, Thundercat, Diplo, Cage the Elephant and so many others, it’s good to have a special guest jump on stage and shred.
With flames dancing at the front of the stage and more fire further back, a shirtless Post Malone ran around singing “rockstar” while Billy Strings fiddled with an acoustic guitar which was drowned out by the orchestra and DJ and drums surrounding him.
