The Bouncing Souls are one of punk’s great lifers, a band that came out of the late 1980s scene in New Jersey around Basking Ridge and New Brunswick and have remained true, while writing some catchy anthemic tunes.
Greg Attonito, Pete Steinkopf, Bryan Kienlen began as high school friends before becoming a road-tested pop punk institution. Formerly of Against Me!, George Rebelo is the new guy on drums even though he’s been in the group for 13 years.
Their new album, Born To Be, dropped last month as the follow-up to 2023’s Ten Stories High. The new record, their 13th, features the easy-to-love “The Light” and “Only Echoes.
