In 1957 Buddy Guy and his guitar made the trek from Louisiana to Chicago and he became one of the most enduring guitar heroes of all.
This summer he turned 90, which means he won't make our Musicians in their 80s on Tour list next year, but he'll be top of mind for a shorter list of those approaching the century mark.
His last five shows have taken him from the Hollywood Bowl to San Diego, Chandler, Albuquerque and Denver, a quick western run to remind people that not only do the Blues still matter but one of their finest ambassadors is delivering that message personally.
