Kacey Musgraves’ Aussie tour began in an unexpected fashion, inside a new Sydney restaurant where diners found her easing into “Slow Burn,” “Butterflies,” and “Rainbows” with no warning.
The Grammy-winning singer popped in for a corporate quickie it seems, but that didn’t stop her from being true to herself in the courageous, thoughtful, earnest way she’s known for.
Before performing “The Architect” to the lucky Aussie diners in the Americano eatery, she introduced the song with an extended explanation.
“I was with some friends in Nashville and we were just analyzing the state of the world, in particular America, where things feel rather crazy most days. We were at a loss of where to go creatively, and I had this title in my back pocket that I’d been saving, and I wasn’t sure how to write it quite yet,” she said.
