Lionel Richie is back and he’s got jokes – all of which are a great relief to his countless fans.
When the 77-year-old Grammy-winning singer/songwriter Lionel Richie kicked off his Sing A Song All Night Long tour last month in St. Paul, Minnesota, he was forced to cut short the show after 9 1/2 songs after he had a dizzy spell during a rendition of the Commodores classic “Three Times A Lady.”
As a precaution, Richie, who is also an award-winning producer and TV personality, was taken to the hospital for observation, and was soon released. He did, however cancel his next two concerts just to play it safe.
“Under advisement by doctors to rest and return to full health, Lionel Richie has postponed his next two shows on Friday, June 26 in Chicago, IL and Saturday, June 27 in Columbus, OH,” promoters of the show wrote on their Instagram page.
