Metallica set a German stadium concert attendance record Saturday (5/30) at Olympiastadion in Berlin, drawing a reported 94,000 people during their M72 World Tour.
Yes, that was the same day Ye broke the world attendance record with 118k over in Turkey.
The metal giants’ show topped the previous record set by U2 in 2009 during the Irish quartet’s 360° Tour.
The Berlin show of the M72 Tour is just the latest in a string of attendance records. On 8/25/23, their stop at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, broke the venue’s highest single-show attendance record at the time at nearly 80,000.
