Rilo Kiley, the lovable LA band fronted by vocalist Jenny Lewis and guitarist Blake Sennett – both former child actors – is back and kicked off their newest tour in years Monday (5/5) in the sleepy beachside town of San Luis Obispo.
Formed way back in 1998, Rilo Kiley were indie with a smidge of alt-country but not in a gross way. Hardly there at all. Sorta like when you'd ask your mom if there were any onions in the soup "so few you can barely taste them, Junior."
