Metallica kicked off the US leg of its M72 World Tour in New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium last weekend, Aug 4 & 6.
In keeping with its no-repeat weekend, the metal legends played two entirely different sets at the 82,000 capacity football stadium that’s home to the NY Giants and NJ Jets in the NFL.
Being able to start a fresh setlist the following night allows a band with an expansive catalogue and a brand new album a chance to play some never-before-heard new tunes and a few deep cuts.
Friday the quartet live debuted “Shadows Follow” and Sunday “Too Far Gone?” was rocked for the first time.
