Kacey Musgraves kicked off her Middle of Nowhere tour Sunday (5/3) at Gruene Hall in New Braunfels, Texas, with the first of three sold-out shows at the historic dance hall.
The Gruene gigs are a warm up in a way for the larger venue Middle of Nowhere Tour, which begins in August at United Center in Chicago, which is why opening night was heavy on Kacey’s new album, which dropped on Friday.
All 13 of the tracks from Middle of Nowhere were performed for the 800 lucky fans who scored tickets to the show held in Texas’ oldest standing dancehall which opened in 1878.
An added touch to the show, and something that would be delightful if she continued throughout the tour, was she had The Mariachi Brothers open for her.
