Coachella attendees will have an added incentive to get some sleep Friday night, because Jack White has been added to the Saturday afternoon lineup, but for weekend one only.
White, the frontman and guitar hero of the White Stripes, and for over the last decade, as a solo artist, was announced as a surprise act on Monday, just a few days after being the musical guest on Saturday Night Live.
After playing “Seven Nation Army” during Jack Black’s not-so-mono-logue at the start of the show, White performed both songs from the G.O.D. And The Broken Ribs / Derecho Demonico single he just released on Third Man Records.
White is no stranger to Coachella. In 2015 he headlined, playing two very different sets on 4/11/15 and 4/18/15.
