Marina lit up the stage on Saturday night (9/6) in Seattle, launching the Princess of Power Tour with an energy that felt like stepping into a neon-lit futuristic arcade.
The show was divided into six theatrical “levels,” broken up in tiny groups of three or four songs each.
Celebrating her sixth studio album, Princess of Power, which dropped in June, Marina is strutting on stage with an infectious and inspiring swagger and confidence.
Opening night of the tour took place at the Showbox SoDo, a 1,800-capacity converted warehouse just south of downtown Seattle, near T-Mobile Park and Lumen Field. It’s a brick-and-wood-beam space with an open floor that may remind some of a modern Hollywood Palladium.
