The Rolling Stones might be sticking to a script, but we are glad to see a trend in some of the all-female opening acts: live debuting new tunes in football stadiums.
Last week down in LA (actually Inglewood), the adorable teen post-punkers The Linda Lindas gave the Stones fans at SoFi Stadium the first listen to a new mystery tune whose name was not revealed.
Then Wednesday up in SF (actually San Jose), the Canadian darlings, The Beaches, surprised the prompt attendees at the Levi Stadium Stones show a treat with “Takes One To Know One” at Levi’s Stadium.
Are all these women trying to impress Mick and Keith by unveiling their newest creations while the two 80-year-old rockers stretch and sip on tea on their tour sponsored by AARP?
