My Chemical Romance Debut “Zero Percent” at Wembley Residency

Tour or event artwork for My Chemical Romance Debut “Zero Percent” at Wembley Residency

My Chemical Romance just finished up a three night residency at the historic Wembley Stadium in London on Wednesday (7/08), Friday (7/10) and Saturday (7/11) in front of their largest weekend crowds of their career.

The residency sold more than 230,000 tickets, averaging more than 76,000 people per night who were there to celebrate the 20th anniversary of The Black Parade, the band’s landmark LP that was released in October 2006 which follows a dying character known as the Patient as he faces death through memories, fear, regret and the image of a childhood parade.

The ongoing success of the Black Parade Tour proves the New Jersey emo veterans have seemingly become even more popular as time has gone on, not just in the US but across the pond as they easily filled one of Europe’s biggest stadiums without the benefit of new material, hype, or controversy.

MCR are now just the second American act after Taylor Swift to join the exclusive club of acts that have sold out three nights (or more) at the huge venue.

Coldplay, Oasis, Take That, the Spice Girls, One Direction, Ed Sheeran, and most recently Harry Styles who have also had long runs at the stadium are all Brits.
